Surf Lessons & Board Rentals
Learn to surf one of Costa Rica’s most consistent surf breaks with local instructors who know the waves. All levels are welcome! Surf lessons include daily use of the board. Daily and weekly rates available for board rentals.

Yoga Classes
Yogalicous offers vinyasa flow classes for a more vigorous practice and gentle yoga for a deeper more restorative practice. Take your pick! Everyone from beginners to experienced practicioners will benefit from the opportunity to balance the mind and body. Mats are provided, private classes are available for groups or individuals. The perfect complement for surfing!!

Massage
Treat yourself to a thirty-, sixty-, or ninety-minute massager hare at the hotel. Choose from a gentle and relaxing style or a more intense deep-tissue massage from Playa Grande’s best certified massage therapists.

Sunset Sailing
One of our favorite things to do! Join Captain Terry onboard the Samonique III and sail off into the beautiful waters of the Pacific Ocean. Explore secluded beaches, islands, and coves and snorkel in some of the best spots around. Equipment is provided and you will have the opportunity to spot colorful fish, turtles, octopi, coral reef and much much more! On the way back, enjoy the sound of live music as you watch the sun sink slowly into the horizon—definitely the best seat in town! Food and drink are provided.

Canopy Tour
Harness yourself in and fly through the tree tops with breathtaking views of the ocean, waterfalls and Howler monkeys too! There are 23 platforms and two suspension bridges that adhere to the strictest safety standards. This is a truly unique Costa Rican adventure that you won’t want to miss. You don’t have to be a world class surfer to enjoy world class surf. This is a must if you are surfing. Accesibale by boat only, Witch’s Rock enjoys endless offshore wind with fast barrels. Ollie’s is a point-break right with rides that go on and on and on…. There are several ways to get there from a standard panga to an overnight on a 55 foot Grand Banks replica.

Leatherback Turtles
Take this tour for a once in a lifetime opportunity to view the Leatherback turtles. Playa Grande is one of only three places in the world these 800lb turtles come to lay their eggs. Turtle season is Oct. 15—Feb. 15. You must be accompanied by a guide as the beach is closed to the public from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am during nesting season.

Rincon de la Vieja
Visit this beautiful volcano in one of Costa Rica’s national parks. Choose from several different hiking trails through the jungle canopy to waterfalls or volcanic craters. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Nicoya peninsula and don’t forget to the visit the blue lagoon, a naturallyformed hot spring.

Jungle Boat Estuary Tour
Enjoy a guided boat tour through the glassy waters of the Tamarindo wildlife sanctuary. Here you have an opportunity to see and hear crocodiles, monkeys and numerous species of exotic birds. There are also kayaks available to rent if you prefer to explore on your own. We recommend early morning for this tour.
